Medial and Inferior Rectus Muscles after Orbital Decompression
Highlights:
- The location and movement of the inferior and medial rectus muscles are demonstrated after completion of orbital decompression surgery.
Keep in Mind/Things to Remember:
- These muscles are located directly beneath periorbita. Care must be taken that these muscles which are located directly beneath periorbita are not injured.
- Thus care must be taken not to penetrate too deeply when incising the periorbita during orbital decompression surgery. By doing so any injury to these muscles is avoided.
