Inverted Papilloma of Sphenoid Sinus
Indications:
- Tumor localized to the sphenoid sinus
- Papilloma with inverted features on histopathology
Highlights:
- Large sphenoidotomy
- Tumor debulked to identify site of attachment
- Clear tumor margins verified by frozen section
- Underlying bone/cartilage may need to be removed which can facilitate in obtaining deep margins
Keep in Mind/Things to Remember:
- Endoscopic follow-up important to evaluate for any kind of recurrence.
