• Patient with complete nasal obstruction undergoes debulking of nasal polyps in order to re-establish an airway
• The reciprocating tip of the microdebrider is powered by wall suction

Keep in mind:

• Topic decongestant spray and anesthetic are usually sufficient
• Bleeding is kept to a minimum by not traumatizing mucosa at the base of the polyps
