Angular Artery Bleeding During DCR
Indications:
- Angular artery may be injured during removal of frontal process of maxilla as part of a dacryocystorhinostom (DCR) performed to relieve excessive tearing.
Highlights:
- This bleeding may be controlled with monopolar cautery, bipolar cautery, or bone wax.
Keep in Mind/Things to Remember:
- Intranasal bleeding from this loction often subsides after a few minutes requiring no specific treatment.
