Allergic Fungal Sinusitis

Running Time: 2:47

Case Presentation:

  • 26 year old man with right-sided decreased visual acuity and fungal sinusitis
  • CT scan showed sphenoid sinus opacification, bony expansion, and erosion of optic canal.

Highlights:

  • Fungal debris removed from ethmoid and sphenoid sinuses
  • Vision returned to normal after removal of fungal debris

Keep in Mind:

  • Optic canal may actually be found in a posterior ethmoid cell (Onodi cell) instead of the true sphenoid sinus
