Highlights:
- Blood-stained orbital fat can be easily mistaken for mucosa
- Palpation of orbit will often result in visible protrusion of fat intranasally
- Do not need to replace fat into orbital cavity or repair the boney defect
Keep in Mind:
- Powered instrumentation should be avoided to minimize risk of inadvertent damage to orbital contents
