  • Prevent middle turbinate lateralization
  • Treat polypoid mucosa with continuous steroid topical dosing

  • Loading of expandable stent into hand-held applicator
  • Placement of stent into middle meatus after completion of ethmoidectomy

  • Long-term benefits of steroid-eluting stent are unknown.
  • Stent removal is not necessary because it is bioabsorbable.
