Indications
- Prevent middle turbinate lateralization
- Treat polypoid mucosa with continuous steroid topical dosing
Highlights:
- Loading of expandable stent into hand-held applicator
- Placement of stent into middle meatus after completion of ethmoidectomy
Keep in mind/Things to Remember:
- Long-term benefits of steroid-eluting stent are unknown.
- Stent removal is not necessary because it is bioabsorbable.
