Inverted Papilloma of Septum Part 2 of 2
Indications:
- Tumor localized to the sinonasal tract
- Papilloma with inverted features on histopathology
Highlights:
- Tumor debulked to identify site of attachment
- Clear tumor margins are verified by frozen section
- Underlying bone/cartilage may need to be removed to obtain deep margins
Keep in Mind/Things to Remember:
- Most common site of attachment is lateral nasal wall
- Endoscopic follow-up is important in order to evaluate for any kind of recurrence.
